孝信，1906出生，原名熊谷次郎，是鈴木主善堂的釜師。態谷宏司是他兒子，是傳統工藝士，2025年在主善堂仍見宏司名字。
孝信的作品風格樸素，多為霰紋平丸，甚少花巧款式。鐵材頗精，60年代常見有定製纪念壺 （壶蓋刻有年份的）。
這壺外殼新淨，未能確定是次郎或宏司的作品，但工藝精巧，是上乘之作。
Takanobu (born 1906), originally named Kumagai Jiro, was a master kettle-maker (kamashi) for Suzuki Shuzendo. His son, Kumagai Koji, is a certified Traditional Craftsman; as of 2025, Koji's name was still seen at Shuzendo.
Takanobu's work is characterized by a simple and rustic style, mostly featuring the Arare (hailstone) pattern in a flat-round shape, with very few ornate designs. The iron quality is exceptionally fine. In the 1960s, custom commemorative kettles (with the year engraved on the lid) were commonly seen.
The exterior of this kettle is in pristine condition. While it is difficult to determine whether it is the work of Jiro or Koji, the craftsmanship is exquisite, making it a masterpiece of superior quality.
