Work of the 12th generation of Suzuki Morihisa Kobo.
The inscription on the iron bottle indicated that it was made by Shigeyoshi Suzuki, the 12th generation of Suzuki Morihisa Kobo. Shigeyoshi Suzuki is the great-grandfather of the present Kobo owner -- Kumagai Shiiko (the fifteenth generation). Today, Shigeyoshi Suzuki had very few kettles handed down.
The handle of this kettle comes with a "ghost face" ring, which is the signature work of the Kobo, and it has a long history. The kettle body and the cast iron material blended magnificently. The inside limescale is thick, giving the boiled water a deep and melodious flavor. It is a pity that the original kettle lid was lost, but the collector is fortunate enough to match it with an old Kinryudo copper lid.
十二代鈴木盛久工房鐵瓶
鐵瓶款銘鈴木繁吉鑄造，為十二代盛久的作品。鈴木繁吉為今天工房主持人鈴木盛朗 (十六代盛久) 高祖父，瓶作傳世極少。
此瓶手把配鬼面鐶，是工房用力之作，年份久遠; 瓶身鏽與鐵材渾然一體; 内籠水垢厚實，煮水韻味沉鬱悠揚。 可惜原装瓶蓋已佚，尚幸藏家配一舊金龍堂銅蓋，不失古雅。
