Tairadate Guntaro (1904–1956), who went by the artisan name "Taibi," was born in the same year as Tatsutoku and was one year younger than Shusen. He was a prominent member of the "Association for the Preservation of Nambu Iron Kettle Techniques." At the time, he was one of only 16 master kettle-makers (kamashi) authorized to craft kettles, which underscores his esteemed status. Due to his untimely passing, the number of surviving pieces he left behind is naturally far fewer than those of Shusen, Tatsutoku, or Kakusai, making his work exceptionally rare and precious.

This particular kettle not only boasts a high proportion of satetsu (iron sand), producing a clear, resonant ring when tapped, but it also features a highly distinct style that sets it apart from ordinary hiramaru (flat-round) shapes. This uniqueness is beautifully expressed in the lid, the handle, and the spout—their contours and craftsmanship mirror one another so closely that they create a uniquely majestic and harmonious presence.

The handling of every detail is rigorous and exquisite (as seen in the seamless fit of the lid and the intricate patterns on the body), reflecting a standard of absolute meticulousness.
